In the morning, we packed up and headed out. Gabriel went in to the visitor center and got his Junior Ranger badge. It was actually a super cute mini-ceremony and I'm kicking myself for not taking my camera. If I knew then what I know now...
We headed out and the landscape was so pretty - with shades and highlights almost constantly changing.
Goodbye Big Bend.
Final critter count:
a bunch of deer
a bunch of skunks
one friendly fox
one lizard
one wildcat
a few javelinas

I just got through all your vacation posts. The scenery was amazing. We've got beaches and all but Florida is flat flat flat. I envy all those rocks and mountains. Stunning. I don't envy the skunk encounter. Skunks that can unzip tents will eat your face.
Love the Critter Counts. :)
Everything looks beautiful. I'm going to now go catch up on all I missed. The boys are getting so tall!
Love the view from your neck of the woods. We have been trying to get outside more. We are less than a block from our neighborhood park so we've been spending our afternoons there scouting neighborhood kids.
Hope you guys have a good turkey day!
