RTT: Life w kids

Gabriel: I want a tit!
Me: What? What did you say?
G: I want a tit to suck on!
Me: (stunned silence)
G: Give me a tit!
Me: Do you mean a MINT?
G: Yeah! I want a mint! Yay!
Me: Ask nicely.

-------------------

Ethan picked a beer bottle out of the recycle bin then came over to his brother and bopped him in the head with it. I think he's too young for barroom brawls - Texas or not.

-------------------

Gabriel took a pair of scissors and cut his hair right across his forehead. Not attractive.

Hilarious! The tit/mint one had me actually LOL-ing.

Gabriel still looks adorable even with wonky bangs. =)

Good Golly!

That mint conversation had me in stitches. Only a mom could have made the leap from what he actually said to what he actually meant.

I think every kid takes scissors to their hair at least once, he still looks adorable.

The tit one had me laughing. It's nearly as good as my son yelling out to his dad in the driveway one morning. He was 3 1/2 and we'd only moved into our house a few days before. He yells out:

"Dad we need more hookers!"

The kid meant HOOKS for his TRAIN SET!! Good golly, no wonder no one invited us to the potluck.

Oh man, your first self-haircut. I dread those days but his doesn't look too bad.

We made pierogis the other night and Graham was asking for one. He kept saying "have a boobie? have a boobie?" until we figured out that's what he was asking for.

My daughter did the same thing with the scissor. What's up with that?

Tit and mint. I do it all the time. :-) That's why I chew gum.

Hahaha, good thing he just wanted a mint. He's a boy, just give him a buzz and all will be well with his hair. My daughter took a chunch out of the top middle of her hair, she begged me to get hairbands for her to cover up her mistake.

They take after their Mom.

I am terrified of scissors. I haven't had a hair cutting episode yet, but I'm expecting it!

One time I took scissors and cut my side burns. It was the worst thing ever letting them grow back out. I looked horrible! Think Elvis. BTW...I was in 5th grade and should've known better! At least Gabe is still young enough to not know any better. I guess he does now! ha! He is still ADORABLE!

Loved the stories.

Hope you had a splendid Mothers Day!!!

Don't you love it how you can make the jump of illogic and figure out what they're really asking for? LOL

My 14yo once took scissors to her hair, and looked worse than Gabriel. She cut it past the hairline. It took over a year before she had bangs again.
