RTT: about as random as it gets

The Daily Show referenced zombie-ism as a side effect of the Swine Flu. Finally!

I spent twenty minutes looking for my cell phone yesterday. I found it on my person.

Mother's Day is coming up ... don't forget. That's all.

Back to zombies, well, er, not zombies per se. I read I Am Legend. Wanted to ever since I saw the movie and ceased breathing for 101 minutes with my hands over my face and my derriere perched on the very edge of my movie seat , threatening to slide off any second were it not for every muscle in my body creating a tension that rendered me a like statue. Book = awesome. Book = very different (you knew it would be). For starters, its about vampires, not zombies. And then there is the how the plague began, how his family died, the dog, and of course, the end. But I am glad I read it and I am glad I waited so long to read it. Its only 170 pages long - give or take: a morbid beach read, if you will.

You bloggers have me obsessed with zombies.

Day two: Rain in San Antonio. A strange and rare event. Everyone is grateful for the rain in terms of the aquifier and our brown lawns. But I'm pretty bored. I normally would be at the zoo, or Seaworld or on a hike with the kids, or at the very least in the backyard with the kids.

Yesterday I busted out the finger paints.

I added different ps boost actions to each of these - i think i like the first one the best.

I think today we will venture out to the Children's Museum. Or the trusty old standby, the library. But this is the second day of being inside and we are going crazy! I really don't know how you do it, Canada.

UPDATE: Rain stopped! Sun is out! We are headed to the great outdoors!

Very smart to dress him in 'easy to clean up' mode :)

I love painting with the girls! The only problem is that Emmy eats the paint. You would think that she wouldn't like the taste, but everytime I get the paints out, the brush goes in her mouth with a big scoop of paint on it. YUCK! I really hope the "non-toxic" label is true!

You are a brave woman with those finger paints!

Please stop hogging all the sunshine...we need some here!

I haven't seen the movie version of I Am Legend yet but the way you are describing the book sounds very intriguing. I'm definitely going to check it out.

For whatever reason, I'm not really worried about the Swine Flu. I guess after the avian flu and mad cow and other diseases didn't really happen I just start blocking out the hysteria after a while.

We took advantage of Saturday's warm sun and went to Busch Gardens. Had a blast. Got a little burn. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, Sprite is not feeling well, doesn't want to play outdoors after dinner, and just wants to color. Now would be the perfect time for a rain day!

I was with you on the I Am Legend right up until you said vampires.

Ok, I'm beginning to think that with all this zombie talk, you were not being 100% truthful when you told me the swine flu would turn me into a zombie. I think you're biased. I think you're wrong.

And I'm pretty sure we have the same finger paints. Crayola, right?

Gasp, finger paint! You're so brave. ;) I actually started reading "I Am Legend" too, although I haven't had too much time to dedicate to it. I like it so far.

Gotta start prepping for that zombie-swine-flu-apocalypse, it's never to early to hone your skillz. :P

I'm impressed that you took out the finger paints. I've yet to do that with Graham since I'm afraid of the outcome (and they paint with him at school). Maybe one day soon.

I never had a zombie obsession until recently either.

We're just content being crazy, I guess.

I read the I Am Legend graphic novels long before they came out with the movie so I actually viewed the movie critters as vampires. They blew up in the sunlight, didn't they?

Heh. I always did finger painting outside, during the summer, so I could hose 'em down when they were finished. :)
