RTT: Larry King, blah blah blah

I was watching some late night junk tv last night. Is it just me or did Larry King used to have people of substance on his show - people with real things to talk about? He is on CNN! I don't watch CNN to watch fluff. I watch CNN to regenerate my dead brain cells after watching a segment of Keeping up With the Kardashians or some other brain eating show. So his guests were Ashton Kutcher and P Diddy. They were all talking about Twitter. Did you know that Larry King Twitters? They were going on and on about how this is a great platform for your everyday person and not just celebrities. Then Larry King video conference called Jimmy Fallon to ask him if he thought Obama would start using Twitter. All of this seemed very non-regular-person to me. What about you? What are your thoughts on Twitter? My good bloggy friend, The Stiletto Mom twitters - or is facebook? or is it both? Oh, I don't know! I did Myspace for a while, got tired of the high school drama and then started my blogger page which I think consumes enough of my time to not delve into the other social networks.

I had a great run tonight - didn't wake up early enough to beat the heat. It was cool outside and I was thinking of all the nice things people commented on my guest post at HASAY and listening to Beyonce when it occurred to me, if I stopped drinking beer and eating cupcakes I would be really healthy! Don't worry, I chased that thought away - literally, I was running and visualizing chasing that thought away. I'm not a big fan of deprivation. Just thinking about it sends chills up and down my spine.

Here are some random pictures of my week.

mississippi river in my house - i was actually a little less homesick for the STL

my child always seems to end up like this at parties - he totally takes after my side of the family!

Love the 'mud bath'. In cases like that all you can do is take pictures!
I joined facebook only because I was curious and low and behold joining is the only way to actually see what it is. I did it for a few weeks but I haven't been on there in a week or so. I simply don't get the allure. Though I have reconnected briefly with people from high school which is kinda cool. I don't twitter, I don't need another time suck!

Keep HASAYing. I loved your ideas over there! And I like that even a fitness person like yourself has to work at it, it makes you human like the rest of us ;)

Personally, I think celebrities have taken over Twitter and I can never get on anymore due to too many locking up the site, so I'm in the process of dumping it.
The mudbath picture is perfection!

I love the mud bath, too! Reminds me of a children's book called Toot and Puddle, by Holly Hobbie. They are pigs, and Puddle has to take a bath in the spring after playing in the mud.

That's the dirtiest bathwater I've ever seen! Awesome picture.

I've got a Twitter account but have never really been able to get the hang of it. Same for Facebook unfortunately. I've got to save some of my time for blogging and television.

I don't understand the Twitter craze. Or the fact that CNN has gona all pop-culture. I do, however, love the mud bath!

I still don't get Twitter. Status updates on Facebook are good enough for me.

those boys - so cute!

facebook is evil - I had an account since 2006 and then just a couple of really good friends in other countries - good way to keep in touch. Then it exploded this year - I accepted all friend requests - then it turned hs on me - so I deleted everyone accept originals!

Facebook IS like high school. I have an account but only login to check on things about once a month (and I didn't put my maiden name in there so nobody from high school can find me). Twitter... I just don't get but people have been after me for months to try it.

Those muddy pictures are hilarious. Did all that mud clog the drain? Glad you had fun over at my place yesterday, you give great tips!

You have good lookin' friends Bec!

I'm hooked on Facebook. I don't dare even whisper Twitter or I'd get hooked on that too.

After so many pics of sweet little princesses on blogs, it's nicevto see some real kids :D

I'm dodging the whole twitter/ facebook thing due to time management, ehem, issues. How the heck do people do it all & still have a life?

I don't get Twitter either. Hubby asked me just tonight, "What the heck is Twitter anyway? Is it just like status updates, but more detailed? Like, 'I'm taking a dump now'??".

Um...yes. Just like that. I don't know, I don't get it either.

Love that 'mud bath'!! The fact that it made you a little less homesick for the STL made it even better... ;)

I have a Twitter account but rarely tweet because I barely have time to keep up on my blog-hopping and commenting... :) I do have Twitterfeed send tweets for me when I post a new blog post... :)

Happy RTT a day late! :)
